Jacobs was a performer since age eight, and she was a student at the Saturday class of Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs and leaving Lebanon High School and moved to New York City in the year 2000. She joined in the Drama Division of Group 33. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2004 following having graduated from Lebanon High School.
